Set off to discover a grandiose destination and bring back magnificent photos, this is an ambition that pleases me. I can already hear you asking me what photo equipment I take with me on a trip. There are so many accessories and equipment to take beautiful photos… But when traveling or on a roadtrip, I have my preferences and I prefer to avoid photo equipment that is too bulky. So here are all my essential travel photos !
Photo equipment, my travel essentials
Those who are already doing photography know it, photo equipment can quickly become heavy and bulky. And if you're like me, you will surely appreciate traveling rather light. Indeed, I think we can take whatever is best for take a picture, without overloading yourself 🙂 Personally, I've found the perfect setup for me and I'm telling you about it now.
What I take with me as a former professional photographer
My experience of professional photographer helped me find the perfect combo. Practicality requires, I always bring one photo backpack with me. I chose it for its ergonomics, its lightness and robustness among other things. It fulfills its function perfectly and effectively protects all my equipment. D’ailleurs, he accompanied me throughout my trip to the United States ! I'll share a photo with you.
Travelling, I'm leaving with my Canon 5D RS camera, accompanied by at least one good zoom as the 24-70 and one grand angle as the 17 from Canon. obviously, I also have the computer in the suitcase and a few memory cards in stock, without forgetting an external hard drive. I also have a small device that I carry around when I go out to restaurants or for other activities for which it is easier not to have a big backpack.. It's a E-P7, and in my opinion, it's really great and suitable for traveling.
Never without my Pen-F, a compact device ideal for traveling
A few words about the Pen-F :). This is a personal assessment, but I find its design rather sophisticated ! The Pen-F has an ultra-convenient flip-up LCD screen for low-angle shots. Its case is equipped with a Live Nos sensor 20 megapixels and an image stabilizer. Which frees me from having to bring my tripod ! The advantages of this device are multiple, but I especially appreciate that it is so complete, light (less than 400 gr !), efficient and compact.
My advice for choosing your travel photo equipment
Besides the essential camera, I always bring one pied photo ! And obviously, a good phone because nowadays it’s very practical too. In the field of photography, there are so many possibilities that I will tell you that each person must find what suits them. But a good start to developing your setup, is to ask the important questions. To know, what do I want to photograph ? What will be the conditions ? I travel a lot on foot, by bike, by public transport or mainly by car ? What is my budget ?
Many brands compete in the photography market. But to be honest, if I have to recommend a few to you- some, know that I really have a weakness for Sony et Canon. The reason is simple, they produce high-end equipment at affordable prices. D’ailleurs, if you look closely, all the pros walk around with these brands. Objective side, je vous recommande d’avoir à minima un objectif qui couvre une longue plage focale. Si vous aimez photographier des paysages, choisissez un objectif grand angle !
Alors, et vous, vous emmenez quels équipements photo en voyage ?
