Festivals in the West

Hellfest was held last weekend in the town of Clisson in Loire Atlantique. This incredible celebration of metal and hard rock is not the only musical escapade in the region, on the contrary ! Today I present some completely festivals in the West, the opportunity to discover new talents and enjoy the air of the Atlantic this summer.

Stopovers

The city of Saint-Nazaire has not always good reputation, comme en témoigne les commentaires des humoristes Eric et Ramzy en février dernier. Yet this city and its industrial port move much, the proof : The Escales festival delights the inhabitants of the peninsula (and by the way) depuis 1992. The principle is simple, programming each year puts a country of honor - this year, this is South Africa - thereby inviting artists of all stripes, more or less known. For this 25th edition, the poster is promising : Iggy Pop, Louise Attack, Johnny Clegg, bay, Selah Sue, et bien d’autres encore.

Belle-île On Air

Belle-Ile-en-Mer is, as indicated by his name, an island south of Brittany. Created in 2008, the festival "eco-responsible" Belle-Isle-On-Air won a huge success and pace of our summers Britons friends. The programming is eclectic : Nu-Cumbia with Las Yegros group Hip-hop Funky (Guts Live Band), through Pop (Inuit). Many couples events are organized around the festival and local food outlets (and equitable !) are placed : you said wafer and salted butter ?

Come to my island

Here is another island festival worthwhile to confront his seasickness ! Located off the coast Vendeen, Yeu island has welcomed 2012 Artists of all stripes for unforgettable evenings. Playing this year : Louise attack that is back, but Thomas Dutronc, Marina Kaye, Tryo, et bien d’autres encore.
